Bandwidth Exceeded...

As you can see my Photobucket account has exceeded its bandwidth for the month of December. It'll be reactivated every 28th day of the month so the pictures would be up again tomorrow. I'm sorry for the inconvenience but I've maxed out my free storage in Picasa and now the bandwidth of Photobucket. As much as I want to buy a Pro or more storage I'm still a student so my only income is my allowance every month and I don't have a credit card yet so I have no means of paying those.

For now, I'll ask you guys, my readers to please do not directly link my screencaps and if you want to use my screencaps please ask my permission first, you can find my email add in the contact page. I'm also deliberating whether to post only to one site whether to my blogger or wordpress site and even if I'll continue posting in Thingle's site since its been a year now and he hasn't contacted me. As much as I want to give you guys HQ screencaps but it really eats a LOT of bandwidth and space so I was wondering if I'll revive my old way of uploading screencaps (click here for an example) . I have no problems with Breaking the Boundary since it has its own domain and Sid offered me a space for my videos and pics there.

Honestly I'm lost at what to do.

Most probably I'll ask Sid when he comes back on how I could upload the screencaps not only to Breaking the Boundary but also to Silence is Golden.

Summer here I come!!!

Well, its summer already in our country so it means vacation!!! I know I keep on popping out and disappearing unnoticed and I'm sorry for that it's because I'm really busy with school work. Thank goodness I was able to post my winter preview but as for the spring preview I'll try posting it tomorrow or the day after tomorrow. Even though it's already vacation, I'm sad to say that I won't be following any shows this season because I plan to finish watching shows that I've put on-hold. I will try to post mini review on those shows I'm trying to finish so that at least I could still put something on my site and also for the sake of my readers (if there's any) who wants to know my opinion on some anime shows I've been following.

Oh gosh I missed blogging but I think next semester when my classes starts my schedule would become more toxic than before so expect me to disappear again when that time comes. Sigh, when God showered blessings on earth why didn't I get a talent of managing my time. If only I could manage my time well I could blog and study at the same time. Anyway please bear with me. :D

Kimi ni Todoke 4

I didn't like this episode very much for two reasons: 1) It was awful, and 2) We have enough "misunderstood" characters in anime and don't need one more. In the first place, it was Sawako's fault because she didn't put her feet down and act decisively enough for her "friends" to understand her clearly, and vice versa. She had a lot of opportunities to say a soundbite, but she preferred to over-interpret the body language of others and thus, give herself (and them) a perfectly predictable scenario.

This reminds me of how Asians act towards each other. That kind of interaction is unfortunately not limited to their place. I don't like the way they rely too much on unspoken and subtle hints. That kind of interaction creates unnecessary rifts between people. I've been into many misunderstandings due to my inability to read other peoples' "hints", and have been telling others that for as long as I remember. That's why while people praise my honesty, they often see me as brash and insensitive with my words. I guess I'm the anti-Sawako, the Sawako in reverse. So that's definitely a minus. If Sawako were a real girl, she'd be on my "unreliable people" list. I still do dig her (non-chibi) hair though.

For now, I'll be putting this series on probation. I've stopped reading the manga as so not to spoil my experience. I think I already know what happens next.

Poof!! I'm back...again lolz...

I apologize for the very looooooong absence. At first it was because I'm quite busy with school work and then here comes the finals so yeah busy 2x. Then again I got addicted playing games in facebook and also I've devoted my time in finishing 'Final Fantasy Dissidia' and it was worth it good game btw. Oh I forgot to mention that I'm not always at home during my sem break mainly because getting our school cards are such a hassle because of some professors sigh...Imagine waiting for that classcard in about what? 12 hours? Another reason is I've enjoyed reading books specially the new ones like 'Hush, Hush" by Becca Fitzpatrick. So as you can see I have so many distractions so my interest in anime declined.

Anyway I'm back and blogging resumes after All Souls Day since our family has to go and visit our departed love ones.

My line up this season would be:
1.Toaru Kagaku no Railgun
2. Kimi no Tosoke
3. Kobato.

Oh gosh, I have to get caught up with a lot of things so I'll try my best!

Btw, I'm not gonna continue blogging Kampfer, I don't know why I enjoyed the frist episode. I don't like it anymore. Its mediocre and the story is so confusing.

So damn busy...

I apologize if I haven't posted my impressions on Haruhi Suzumiya S2 eps 13 and 14, also Canaan eps 8-11 yet. It's just that my schedules been so tight these past couple of weeks and I'm trying to cope up with my lessons or else I'll surely fail. I'll try posting those this week and I'll be reviewing Haruhi Suzumiya S2 since it's already finish. Oh, I haven't finished K-On! and Suzumiya Haruhi-chan right? I'll post a review of that too but I think that'll be after I made the FallLine Up review.

Wow, fall is already coming and I haven't been able to post the fall line up. Anyway, I'll try posting that next week even though my finals are already looming ahead. I've already researched what shows are coming next season and what are those shows about so yeah, I think I could do that next week.

Tokyo Magnitude 8.0 episode 5

Corpses on the floor!

Tokyo Magnitude 8.0 remains one of the better shows this season, as it continues its true-to-life appeal by now focusing on the dead. And I particularly liked the restrained approach towards the newly departed. No over-the-top crying or all that shit, just the blank stare of someone who hasn't had the loss sunk in yet. The solemn eeriness of the setting (Corpses lined up on a chapel with stained glass) was particularly striking. That scene had death written all over it.

One more thing that makes this episode great is that lingering worry about Mirai and Yuuki's parents. Mirai talking about her mother while behind her mind, grappling with uncertainty if she's even alive at that point is going to be hard to replicate in real life. Or probably that "coolness" is just her way of denying the inevitable... She even winced at the mass produced curry noodles lol.

My mind is numb because of the exams. Sorry for the gaping lack of insight in this week's entry. Expect a review of Asatte no Houko to be posted anytime within the next 4-5 days.

No...I haven't dropped Haruhi Suzumiya...yet

Nope I haven't dropped Haruhi Suzumiya 2nd yet, but I will start blogging it again when the dreaded Endless Eight would finish (I hope it'll finish next week). I think it's just a waste of my time if I would continue blogging the same old story over and over. Also, I agree that this once great series has fallen because of the #^$*% (just imagine cuss words ok :P) companies managing this series are trying sqeezing money from the fans. Ugh, they are even trying to sell DVDs of it in full price, what a waste of money and who would buy that?

Btw, I know I haven't released any new episodes of Canaan and Bakemonogatari but I'm really busy these days because the midterm exams are coming. I'll try blogging episodes 2-4 of Canaan tomorrow but for Bakemonogatari, I haven't had a chance to watch the 3rd and 4th episodes yet so I think I'll blog that after my exams.

Tokyo Magnitude 8.0 episode 4

Time for unilateral, inconsiderate action.

There are some things a female 13 year old cannot do. One such thing is unilaterally enforcing her will upon other evacuees. For the duration of the episode, Mirai looked a bit helpless. From the crapper to the tower, she didn't look all that impressive as a survivor. I think size and strength shows how helpful it is in such a situation. Imagine being able to shove anyone who gets in your way and not worry about retaliation because you're so fucking big and strong that they'll think long and hard and decide to take your fist anyway.

If Mirai were a 5"10 265lb guy, this situation would be a cakewalk. Everything, from food to supplies to evacuation lines, always getting the best and first-- because of sheer force alone. (especially if the people around are just 120lbs) . Fuck, it would be a steamrolling.... Successive Greco-Roman clinch takedowns on those little nerdy Asian shits who don't accept your dominance. Oh, how disadvantaged the weak are. But come to think of it, that's why weak people exist... so that the strong would have something to devour.

In a disaster zone, it's dog eat dog. It's fucking on! It's not only fine, also rational to take the other guy's rations (bully style) and beat him up if he tries to get it back. It's self first, fuck others. Bitches. Learn MMA.

Anyway, I'm still convincing you guys to get off the Canaan and Haruhi bandwagon and seriously consider watching this anime.

Tokyo Magnitude 8.0 episode 3

No kindness for medals

Three in a row. Three very realistic episodes in a row, and I'm liking it. The situation just wentfrom bad to worse. That city really got raped by the aftershocks, and worst of all, they almost got pwned by a large wave caused by debris. Personally, I felt sad for all that wasted infrastructure. To imagine my own city's rapid transit lines and freeways crumble just like that would make my eyes bleed. As I love infrastructure, these things represent a certain social core. Tear one of these things apart and society breaks. In their case, good bye bridges, freeways and metro systems. That is a loss of more than several trillion Yen, courtesy of mother Earth.

Then there's the righteous among nations, Mari. She indeed is a great help especially to Mirai. Not that Mirai is incompetent, which is not the case (ep.2). She's just trying her best to do a role beyond her own capability as a 13 year old. Mari's the best character of this episode, doing medal-worthy things to complete strangers but Mirai is right in a way, she's nosy. Compare that to the public who acted very rudely when it's their own safety at stake. To be honest though, I'd shove anyone who gets in my way if I were there. Even if it is a woman or a child, I'll throw them around. I'll never allow anyone to get between me and my safety.

If you haven't watched this yet, or are stuck finding anything significant in 6 straight troll episodes of Haruhi Suzumiya while Kyoto Animation laughs at your ass, stop what you are doing and download this anime. I guarantee enjoyment.

Tokyo Magnitude 8.0 episode 2

Sisterly love?

I had to put this entry out first because episode 2 fucking rocks. I don't know why so many fucktards are orgasming with that Canaan shit when the true gem is right underneath their noses. No, it's not as if Frank Mir had a horseshoe up his ass and it took Brock Lesnar just over 7 minutes to turn him into a bleeding, humiliated pulp. This episode really hit all the right notes. The way a desperate Mirai looked for Yuuki with no regard for her own safety strikes some raw nerves with most of the audience.

For one, this show is successful in drawing my interest. Their situation is fucked up. It's a total disaster zone and the fate of their parents is unknown...But Mirai at least is still unbowed. While disaster anime is quite common, this one concentrates not on the dystopia just yet, but on what really happens moments after zero hour. Furthermore, a giant earthquake is just as likely to happen to my land as to theirs, so there's added realism. After all, we all share the same fault line--and I've felt one myself, wherein I just thought I was dizzy until I saw the paintings tilt to one direction. Earthquakes are never pleasant, people. I tell you that.


This will be on my watch list. Thanks noitamina for coming up with something engaging.

Tokyo Magnitude 8.0

Rude awakening

The anime starts off by portraying the normal modern-day family in a subtle but detailed way, from the simple personalities of the kids to the demands of their parents' jobs. All too normal I should say, too normal. But this is just a cover for the REAL story, which begins just before the episode ends. A massive, infrastructure-unfriendly earthquake while each member of the family is separated from each other... I think this is all too real, for some reason.

First off, this is a very promising story. I bet they'll show either a dystopian after-distaster world or different accounts of the earthquake (if so, then we'll get new characters next week) either of the two, you read it here. The pacing was satisfactory, the characters are introduced well enough, but not overdone. Nothing much to say about anything else concerning the story lest I be fooled again by the Ga-rei syndrome (kick-ass first ep, bad series) so I'll just keep my other opinions to myself for the time being.

Techinically, the characters looked shounen-ish. The faces look taken straight from some cross breed between Welcome to the NHK and Now and then, here and there. The girl is eerily similar to Misaki, but fortunately does not act like her. The animation's tight but I wonder if they'll keep it that way for the duration of the season.

Definitely promising. I'll be back for more earthquake action.

Eden of the East 11

BANG!

A fitting way to end Season 1. I must say I was impressed that they didn't fuck it up. On the contrary, it fucking kicked ass. Takizawa certainly looked more-than-human in this episode despite his over-the-top "bang" gestures. Is he the next Messiah? I dunno. Ask Mousavi.

So "Careless Monday 2" just got thwarted. Takizawa is the new King of Japan and he just ran out of money. What's next? The last 2 episodes of this series made me really interested. Good thing there's a movie planned to follow this up as the story itself is nowhere near finished. The final act could've looked better as a movie anyway. Imagine, the thwarting of Careless Monday 2 as a separate plot in its own? Worthy of an action flick, isn't it? Well, all I can do now is wait.
